Platform tutorials

The SMP platform—the Synchronized Multitasking Platform—is one workspace: you sign in once, then open modules (Dashboard, Employees, Timekeeper, Inventory, and more) from one apps menu. A live connection to the server keeps lists and forms in sync for everyone who is logged in. The steps below reflect how the Sitewide SMP client is structured—add screenshots and videos where the placeholders are.

Tutorial 1 · Sign in

Open the workspace

Use your email and password on the login screen. After authentication, the shell loads: taskbar, slide-out menu, and main work area. Your session stays tied to the server so you can return without re-entering data on every click.

  1. Open your SMP URL (staging or production).
  2. Enter credentials and sign in.
  3. Wait for the loader to finish—the full layout appears when the client is ready.

Tutorial 2 · Apps menu

Switch modules without losing your place

The apps menu lists each module your tenant allows—typically Dashboard, Finance, Inspections, Timekeeper, Inventory, Fleet, IMS, Equipment, Employees, and Settings. Choosing one loads that app and updates the taskbar with the module icon and its actions.

  1. Open the apps grid from the taskbar.
  2. Select a module (icon + label per row).
  3. Where enabled, use keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl+Shift+E for Employees) to jump faster.

Tutorial 3 · Inside a module

Add, list, inspect, export

Most operational modules follow the same pattern: open the module from the taskbar, then use its dropdown for Add, List, Inspections, and Settings where applicable, plus Export to spreadsheet or PDF when your deployment exposes those actions.

  1. Click the module icon on the taskbar to open its action menu.
  2. Use Add to create records, List to browse, Inspections for inspection workflows.
  3. Run Export XLSX or PDF when you need a file for reporting or email.

Tutorial 4 · Timekeeper

Attendance and lists

The Timekeeper module focuses on time and presence. From its taskbar menu you can open Attendance (tracker) or List, depending on how your organization tracks people on site.

  1. Open Timekeeper from the apps menu.
  2. Choose Attendance or List from the module dropdown.
  3. Close the module from the menu when finished to clear the taskbar.

Tutorial 5 · Live sync

Stay aligned with everyone online

The browser keeps a live connection to the server. When shared data changes, other signed-in users see updates reflected in the UI—reducing duplicate entry and version conflict. That is the synchronized side of Sitewide SMP: one operational picture across the team.

  1. Stay signed in during a shift in one tab when possible.
  2. Expect lists and forms to refresh when colleagues save changes.
  3. If the connection drops, check the network; sign in again if prompted.
